For what it's worth, Ebert didn't write VALLEY OF THE DOLLS, he wrote BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS for Russ Meyer.

The clue said that Ebert and Meyer satirized the work in question in a later film.

I did the same thing you did... I was 80% sure How Green Was My Valley was all in Wales (watched it last year for the first time) but thought I found an error in the question... Was off to PM Commish and smith since "How Green Was My Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" wasn't a valid answer per the rules of B&A...
